Aluminium windows — stiffness for very large glazing
Aluminium does what uPVC cannot: floor-to-ceiling windows, corners without a post, heavy HST lift-and-slide doors and slim profiles in an industrial style. We sell Aluprof systems — from non-insulated to passive-house class.

Frequently asked questions
Are aluminium windows cold?
+
Modern systems with a thermal break — no. Aluprof MB-86 SI or MB-104 HI achieve a Uw comparable to the best uPVC and timber profiles. Only aluminium without a thermal break is cold, such as MB-45, which is used inside buildings.
How large a window can be made in aluminium?
+
Much larger than in uPVC — single FIX (fixed glazing) sashes of several square metres and HST doors several metres wide are the norm. The exact maximum depends on the system, the glass unit and the wind load; we check it when preparing your quote.
Is aluminium much more expensive than uPVC?
+
Yes, for the same dimensions aluminium costs more. It wins where uPVC cannot reach: huge glazing, slim profiles, colour that lasts for decades. For ordinary house windows, uPVC usually works out more sensibly.
