The price of supply only uPVC windows depends on five choices: profile system, glazing, opening type, colour and extras. Transport is added on top, and you pay the fitter of your choice separately. You see the price of your own windows straight away in the configurator, without a "from … per m²" list that never describes your actual order. Below we break the cost down into its parts. We deliver regularly to Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Austria and the Czech Republic.
What makes up the cost of supply only uPVC windows?
| Component | What it depends on | Where you see the amount | |---|---|---| | Profile system | depth 76–88 mm, outer seal (AD) or centre seal (MD), brand | configurator, instantly | | Glazing | double or triple; safety, acoustic, solar control or obscure glass | configurator, instantly | | Construction | sizes, number of sashes, opening: fixed, tilt and turn, balcony door, tilt and slide, lift and slide | configurator, instantly | | Colour | white in the base price; foil outside only or the same on both sides | configurator, instantly | | Extras | roller shutters, fly screens, window sills, fitting materials | configurator, instantly | | Transport | number of stillage spaces and country of delivery | quote before ordering | | Fitting | your installer, removal of old windows, making good | your installer's quote |
The first five rows are the price of the windows themselves. Transport is an amount in our quote; fitting is outside our bill, because we do not install.
What pushes the price up or down?
Up:
- every extra opening sash, which means more hardware, seals and welds,
- a deeper profile with a centre seal, and triple glazing,
- a colour instead of white,
- tilt and slide or lift and slide doors: heavy sashes, tracks and large glass,
- top-mounted roller shutters, fly screens and sills.
Down:
- a fixed pane where the window does not need to open,
- one opening sash plus a fixed pane instead of two sashes; we do not make opening sashes narrower than 450 mm anyway,
- white,
- a system matched to the building rather than chosen "just in case": if a cheaper system is enough, we say so,
- a larger order, as transport is spread over more windows.
Supply only or supply and fit?
A local firm usually surveys, delivers and fits, and you get one figure. It does not show what the windows cost and what the labour costs. Supply only makes sense when you have a builder on site anyway, when you fit them yourself, or when you replace many windows at once. For Dutch-style installation into a sub-frame, the configurator offers a Dutch frame, with or without a fin, depending on the system.
If you have nobody to fit them and do not want to organise it, a local supply-and-fit package may suit you better. We do not install, and damage caused by incorrect fitting is not covered by the warranty. Energy-efficiency grants also often require installation by a company, so check the conditions with the official body before you buy.
Three bills instead of one
1. Windows with extras — the figure from the configurator. 2. Transport — the figure from our quote, before you order. 3. Fitting — your installer's quote: removal, fitting, tapes, foam, finishing.
Compare the total with a supply-and-fit quote only for the same specification: profile, glazing, colour, hardware, extras. Our prices include VAT. For delivery to another EU country we charge that country's VAT rate and account for it ourselves under the OSS scheme; you see the rate and amount in the quote. This is general information, not tax advice.
When does a quote change along the way?
We have worked with windows since 1997 and completed more than 5,000 orders. In every quote we check sizes, opening sides and descriptions. The price usually changes for one of three reasons. Someone gave the size of the wall opening instead of the frame size. The opening side was described from outside, so the sash layout changes. Or a top-mounted roller shutter was added after the quote, and its box makes the window taller. All three are easy to catch before you pay.
How to check the price of your windows
In the window configurator you go through five steps: system, glazing, colour and extras, windows, summary. The price updates after every choice, so you see at once what a roller shutter or a third pane adds. Price the same project in two systems and try a version with fewer opening sashes. Our uPVC systems are described on the uPVC windows page, and the general cost logic in How much do windows cost without fitting.
We send the quote with transport within 3 working days. You pay 100% before production, production takes 3–8 weeks, and the windows arrive on stillages at your address. Unsure about the material? Read uPVC or aluminium.
