Looking for supply only windows prices? The price of a uPVC window without fitting depends on the profile system, the glazing, the size and layout, the opening type, the colour and any extras. On top come delivery to your country and VAT. The exact price for your sizes appears in the configurator, straight away and after every change. Below we break the price down into its parts.
Why supply only windows prices per square metre mislead
A window's price does not grow with the glass area. The most expensive parts are hardware, gaskets and welds, and they sit in the frame and in every sash. One large window is often cheaper than two small ones with the same area. A three-sash window costs far more than a fixed pane of the same size. A price "per m²" usually describes the simplest white window in the cheapest system, and hardly any order looks like that. More on this in our article on what makes up a window's price.
What goes into the price without fitting?
| Component | What it depends on | Effect on price | |---|---|---| | Profile system | brand, depth (76–88 mm), AD or MD gaskets | deeper profile and MD cost more and insulate better | | Glazing | double or triple, safety, acoustic, solar control glass | each special glass is an extra | | Size and layout | number of sashes, mullions, fixed panes | more sashes, higher price | | Opening type | fixed, tilt and turn, balcony door, PSK, HST | fixed cheapest, sliding doors most expensive | | Colour | white, colour outside, colour both sides | white in base price, colour both sides most expensive | | Frame | standard or renovation frame | depends on the system | | Extras | roller shutters, fly screens, window sills, fitting materials | priced separately, shown in the quote | | Delivery | number of places on the stillage | amount in the quote before you order | | VAT | rate of the delivery country, OSS scheme | shown in the quote |
Our prices include VAT. For delivery to another EU country we apply that country's VAT through the OSS scheme and show it in the quote. This is general information, not tax advice.
What pushes the price up, and what brings it down?
The price goes up with:
- more opening sashes in one window,
- PSK and HST sliding doors,
- colour on both sides instead of outside only,
- special glass in every window, even where it is not needed,
- a small order, because delivery is spread over fewer items.
The price comes down with:
- a fixed pane where you do not need to open,
- one sash and a fixed pane instead of two sashes,
- white inside with a colour outside,
- ordering all the windows for the house at once,
- a system that suits the building. If a cheaper one will do, we say so.
We have worked with windows since 1997 and completed more than 5000 orders. On every quote we check sizes, opening sides and item descriptions. The most common reason a price changes after the enquiry: the customer decides late on a top-mounted roller shutter. Its box sits on the window and changes the height, so the whole item has to be recalculated. Decide on shutters from the start.
Supply only price or fitted quote
If you compare our quote with one from a local company, check whether it includes fitting. With us you pay for the windows and delivery. You fit them yourself or with a fitter you choose and pay separately for the work. Unloading is on your side: a forklift or 2 to 3 people. Compare the same specification too: system, glass, colour, hardware and extras, point by point. All systems are on the uPVC windows page, delivery terms on the export page.
How to check your price in the configurator
1. Choose a system. To start, try two, for example 76 MD and 82 MD. 2. Choose the glazing, then the colour and extras. 3. Add all windows with frame size and layout. Describe the opening side as seen from inside. 4. The summary shows the price of the windows. Change one setting and the price updates at once. 5. Send the enquiry. A person prepares the quote with delivery within 3 working days.
The same list in two systems shows what better insulation really costs in your home. Open the configurator and price your own sizes.
