Reading Polish windows reviews, you will find mixed opinions, but they follow a repeating pattern. Profiles, hardware and glass come from the same brands that local companies use, and bad experiences usually come from wrong sizes, an incomplete specification or no plan for unloading and fitting. Whether your story ends well depends mainly on how the seller checks the details before production and whether they still answer after you pay.
We have worked with windows since 1997, completed more than 5,000 orders and shipped to Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland since the late 1990s. Customers abroad mostly ask us about quality, claims, transport, fitting and language. We answer each in turn.
Polish windows reviews: what lies behind them
Good reviews usually mention the price for the same German-brand profiles and the wide choice of colours and glass. Bad ones describe a window in the wrong size, a sash opening the wrong way, long waits without updates, or missing installation the buyer had not planned for.
These problems rarely start at the factory. With every enquiry we check sizes, opening sides and item descriptions, and we most often correct the same two things: an opening size given instead of a frame size, and an opening side described from outside rather than from inside. So when you read reviews, look for detail: what the problem was, and whether the seller helped fix it.
Is the quality the same as from a German manufacturer?
Quality is decided by the profile system, the glass and the hardware, not by the seller's country. We sell windows on VEKA, Kömmerling, Salamander and Gealan profiles and aluminium windows by Aluprof, made in the All Windows Group (AWG) factory, for which we are an official dealer. For example, Kömmerling 88 MD reaches a Uw from 0.73, Salamander bluEvolution 82 from 0.75 and the Aluprof MB-79N aluminium system from 0.95 W/(m²K).
Every delivery comes with a declaration of performance and CE documents, because the same product standards apply across the EU. How to compare quotes using the declaration is explained separately. If you are torn between materials, read uPVC or aluminium.
How does a claim work at a distance?
You report a claim by email or post, without travelling to Poland. Give the order number, describe the fault and attach photos: the whole window and a close-up of the fault with a tape measure. We are the guarantor. The GALI warranty lasts 2 years, covers profiles, hardware, sealed units, roller shutters and motors, and applies in the delivery country.
Separately from the warranty, we are liable if the goods do not conform to the contract. In that case we repair or replace the product at our cost, including transport of the parts.
What if the windows arrive damaged?
The windows travel on stillages to the site address. Check them with the driver present before you sign for them. Note any damage on the delivery note and photograph it; for glass, include the label on the spacer bar. Before dispatch we show photos of the finished windows on the order tracking page, so you know what condition they left the factory in.
Who fits the windows, and what if the installer makes a mistake?
We do not offer fitting. You fit them yourself or with a local installer you choose and pay separately. The warranty does not cover damage from incorrect fitting, so agree the scope of work with your installer in writing and keep the instructions. Some of the bad experiences with windows from Poland are about exactly this: fitting that was not arranged before delivery. What to prepare before delivery and fitting is on the How it works page.
Can I communicate in my own language?
Write in your language and you will get the quote in the same language. We speak Polish and English, and a person prepares the quote, not a machine.
How do you check a seller before paying?
Reviews are one thing; the enquiry itself tells you more. Look at whether the seller:
- asks about sizes and opening sides instead of sending an invoice straight away,
- gives the full specification in the quote: system, glass, colour, hardware, transport,
- sends a drawing and specification to approve before payment,
- shows photos of the finished windows before dispatch,
- puts the warranty in writing and says who the guarantor is,
- says honestly what they will not do, such as fitting or a sash narrower than 450 mm.
Remember too that made-to-measure windows are excluded from the 14-day right of withdrawal (Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(c)). That is why a good seller checks the details carefully before taking payment.
Form your own view
The simplest test is your own project. In the window configurator you see the price straight away, and you get a quote with transport within 3 working days. Have drawings or a window schedule? Send them to us and we will reply in your language. The whole process is described in Windows from Poland without middlemen.
